The handling of water and wastewater is an increasingly important factor in today's environment-conscious society. The Water and Wastewater Technician Program provides a high level of training for those desiring employment in the fields of water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment.
The program also provides upgrading for those currently employed in the industry, or for those interested in any of the four specialized areas.
The full-time program is a combination of traditional delivery and self-study activities. Hands-on training in the use of laboratory equipment and the maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment will require some physical work, including lifting objects weighing up to 20 kg (approximately 50 lbs.)
NEW FOR FALL 2010!The full-time Water and Wastewater Technician program will also be offered in Calgary at NAIT's new BP Canada Water and Wastewater lab in our Calgary facilities. Select the Calgary delivery option when applying.
