The Minister of Advanced Education & Technology has approved the NAIT Board of Governors’ recommendation to suspend this program.
As we have said throughout this process, all current students will be able to complete their programs. Students who require clarification on requirements to complete their programs should work with their program chairs and the Registrar’s Office.
What does this mean for current students in programs approved for suspension?
- NAIT will not accept new students for fall 2011 in programs approved for suspension.
- All current students in these programs will be able to complete their programs.
- In fall 2011/12, we will continue to offer the second year of two-year programs that were approved for suspension.
I applied for one of the programs that has been suspended. What happens now?
- Applicants to the programs that have been approved for suspension will be advised by letter from the Registrar's Office that the programs they applied to have been suspended.
- Students who applied to programs under review and consideration for suspension were contacted by the Registrar's Office and encouraged to identify another option at no charge.
