Construction Technology Certificate
News & Announcements
The Construction Technology Certificate (CSTN) has a long history of providing professional development and re-training courses to the Alberta construction industry. NAIT regularly engages industry partners, associations and subject-matter experts to ensure our courses meet the needs of industry today and into the future. To that end, the Construction Technology Certificate is transitioning to a new program: Construction Estimating and Administrative Controls (CEAC).
The CEAC program will provide students the opportunity to pursue 3 construction certificate options.
- Administrative Controls
- Construction Estimating and Administrative Controls
Please visit Construction Estimating and Administrative Controls for upcoming 2017/18 courses.
What This Means to You
During the 2017/18 academic year, we will be transitioning from the Construction Technology Certificate to the new Construction Estimating and Administrative Controls program. Several of the current CSTN courses will continue to be offered; however, others will be replaced by new CEAC courses.
During the transition, students will be able to complete the necessary CSTN courses or the CEAC equivalents and receive the existing Construction Technology Certificate until June 2018.
After June 2018, any CSTN courses that have been completed during this transition period will be recognized in the new CEAC program. At that point, students can choose between a Certificate of Achievement in either Estimating, Administrative Controls, or combined Construction Estimating and Administrative Controls.
Please review the Construction Estimating and Administrative Controls Program Map (pdf) for a listing of CSTN to CEAC equivalencies and CEAC course progression details.
NOTE: Course schedules and registration availability may be altered as the details of the program update are finalized.
