Vascular Sonography Courses (Distance)

Overview

You’re already enjoying a challenging career as part of a patient care team in general sonography and now you want to refresh your skills in vascular ultrasound and prepare for the national board exam. In the Vascular Sonography series of courses you’ll focus on the five essential subject areas in a manageable format allowing you to gain complete comprehension of each topic. The subject areas include pertinent anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, examination protocols and procedures.

Features of studying vascular sonography by WebCT include online labs and exercises, interactive computer graphics, high quality ultrasound images and a mock computer-based exam that simulates the examination method used by certifying bodies. However, even though learning is primarily online, you’ll still enjoy interaction with an instructor and assistance in pacing the courses effectively. Each course within the program includes online quizzes, activities and a final exam.

All course content is in line with the National Competency Profile, outlined by CARDUP and approved by CSDMS. Completion of the vascular series covers all of the competencies required for certifying exams and the corresponding Registered Vascular Sonographer credential.
