Marketing Students Raise $10,000 for Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation
An evening meeting with Edmonton business leaders was the crowning event of the semester for nineteen students in Keven McGhan’s Advanced Professional Selling course. Students hosted the event following their twelve week fund-raising initiative for the Stollery. Summing up their experiences in this class, students stated they have a newfound appreciation for professional sales skills. They also see more clearly how we are all interconnected. Their effort in reaching out to form new relationships benefited not only themselves but also the children and families needing the Stollery hospital.
The Sales Management course is offered to students in the second year sales stream of the marketing program. The stream includes a study of sales communication skills as well as video-taped role-playing exercises.
The success of NAIT’s marketing graduates in the workplace is a tribute to the innovation and dedication of the Marketing program and staff in NAIT’s JR Shaw School of Business.
