Computer Systems Technology

Overview

Build a solid foundation in business data processing, database concepts and data communication systems with NAIT’s Computer Systems Technology (CST) program. Working within a networked client-server environment, you will learn about operating systems, programming languages such as Java and Visual Basic .NET, and database programming tools such as SQL Server and Oracle. Round out your skill set with courses in accounting, business communication and organization. Then, apply what you have learned in the classroom to a full-time work situation as you complete a directed, supervised 16- to 32-week co-op placement.

Note: NAIT’s Computer Systems Technology (CST) and Digital Media Design programs have merged to form the new Digital Media and IT (DMIT) program. As a result, the CST program has suspended all new student intakes. Those interested in applying to either Computer Systems Technology or Digital Media Design should refer to the DMIT program for more information and apply to this new program. Existing CST students should continue to refer to CST program information for details pertaining to Semester 3 and Semester 4 courses.
