The Biological Sciences Technology program at NAIT is comprised of a common first year for all students, with all courses offered at the Edmonton Main Campus. The common first year is followed by one of three program specializations: Laboratory & Research, Renewable Resources, or Environmental Sciences. Entrance into Year 2 is competitive based on the academic performance achieved in Year 1.
Common First-Year Program
During the common first year, students acquire skills and knowledge in the general sciences of biology and chemistry, communications, statistical analysis, laboratory procedures and computer applications.
Second-Year Programs
After successful completion of Biological Sciences year one, students will apply for entrance into one of the following program streams:
