Optical Sciences - Ophthalmic Review Courses
Ophthalmic Review courses serve as a refresher for opticians with previous working knowledge who are returning to the profession or candidates who want to update their skills with a review of major principles and theory in eyeglasses or contact lenses. These are not introductory-level courses.
Ophthalmic Review theory courses OPSC601 to OPSC615 are accessed online through Moodle, an e-learning system. Students write their final exam online. These courses begin on the first of each month and must be completed within 8 weeks.
Ophthalmic Review practicum courses OPSC693 and OPSC694 are done at a student's work site under supervision. Students receive a practicum manual to fill out, which must be received by the Optical Sciences Program Office within 6 months.
