Dental Assisting Technology
This diploma program offers dental assisting education that covers the full scope of practice for Alberta Registered Dental Assistants.
In our program, students obtain knowledge, skills and attitudes required for a successful career in dental assisting. Students learn chairside assisting procedures, infection prevention and control, anatomy, histology and pathology, communications, radiology, oral health education, limited scaling procedures, specialty procedures, patient management, orthodontic treatment, community health-care, and administrative dental procedures. Additionally, students experience clinical placements in varied dental settings.

Grads work in general and specialty dental practices and public health, as well as dental sales and dental insurance.
