Medical Transcription
As vital members of the healthcare team, transcriptionists are medical language specialists whose primary responsibility is editing dictated reports. The medical transcriptionist authenticates healthcare documents produced through audio recordings and voice-recognition technology. Timely and accurate completion of patient documentation is required by the transcriptionist to ensure quality patient care. It is the transcriptionist's responsibility to maintain these precise health records contained in the electronic medical record (EMR).
