Heavy Equipment Technician
The Heavy Equipment Technician program will train you to maintain, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, both towed and self-propelled. The heavy equipment industry is very diverse, and typically apprentices specialize in a certain field of repair.
There are 4 streams to this apprenticeship program, each with at least 1 common period, leading to 1 or more journeyperson certifications: transport-trailer mechanic, truck and transport mechanic, heavy-duty equipment mechanic (off-road) and heavy equipment technician.
