Power System Electrician
This program will train you to install, maintain and repair electrical power generation, transmission and distribution systems and equipment in substations and metering. Power system electricians generally work in 2 distinct areas – substations and metering.

- In substations, power system electricians work with high voltage equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switches and the control circuits for protection, indication and monitoring systems.
- In metering, power system electricians work with a variety of recording devices, such as supervisory controls, indicating and recording devices, switchboards, and equipment circuitry found in generating stations and powerhouses.
Power system electricians are employed by utility companies, large industrial facilities and their subcontractors.
