Core Security+ Certificate
Overview
If you are a junior or intermediate network support worker looking to increase your skill set, the Core Security+ Certificate program is for you and with additional self-study, you can challenge the CompTIA Security+ certification examination.
Core Security+ is an intermediate certificate that will teach you IT security from the ground up and in a hands-on environment and with additional self-study, you can challenge the CompTIA Security+ certification examination.
It provides you the knowledge to secure your organization against data corruption and loss, and will also teach you how to be prepared in the event of a security incident.
Key topics include:
- network security
- physical security
- threats
- access control and identity management
- internet detection/prevention systems
- security management
- policies, encryption and security forensics
Note: Though not a requirement, it is recommended that you have at least one year of IT networking experience.
