NAIT's Student Recruitment and Events team consists of a talented group of professionals who work closely with academic programs to support students in finding the best fit program for themselves. They are passionate about supporting and encouraging prospective students as they prepare for rewarding educational experiences at NAIT.
Manager, Domestic Recruitment and Events
Chris has been with NAIT for over 4 years, coming to the recruitment team after previously working in NAIT’s Department of Continuing Education. Originally from Drayton Valley, Chris moved to Edmonton to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Alberta where his passion for leadership began. His role includes supporting the student recruitment and events team in realizing their vision of attracting and engaging life-long learners in an effort to support NAIT’s growth. Bringing his previous experiences in course administration, Chris is passionate about finding opportunities for every student and ensuring prospective students are provided the information they need in order to choose the right path. Chris is a former varsity volleyball player and in his spare time you can normally find him playing, watching, listening to, or reading about, sports.
Rural Community Partnerships Coordinator
A true Northern Adventurer, Meredith has been working in the post-secondary industry since 2014 starting her career in Northern Alberta. Originally from London, Ontario, Meredith completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and Thanatology from the University of Western Ontario. Her passion and support for the north, the people and the communities within it is what drives Meredith’s passion for education. Meredith is the Northern Alberta Partnerships Coordinator in the Student Recruitment and Events department. Her roles include working with high schools, communities, athletics, non-traditional students and Aboriginal student perspectives. Meredith has come to love the province and has made it home. Many of her hobbies and interests match perfectly with the rich and diverse landscape of Alberta which always leads into a new adventure for her. An interesting and surprising fact about Meredith is she used to be a competitive Discus thrower. She is excited to visit your high school or community!
Campus Visits Coordinator
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and her experience collaborating with various stakeholders in past roles has prepared her for her current position. Prior to working at NAIT, she spent a few years working in career education and employer relations at other post-secondary institutions in Edmonton. She is passionate about empowering young adults to make informed decisions when it comes to their future and is looking forward to continuing her work in post-secondary. In her role, Nicole oversees the Campus Ambassador Program, campus tours, and Student for a Day. She also supports programs as they strive to meet enrolment targets, helps with on-campus events, and attends recruitment events within the Edmonton area. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys reading, writing, and exploring new restaurants. Her favorite place to travel is Maui and she can never say no to a good cup of coffee!
Recruitment Events Coordinator
New to the Student Recruitment and Events team, Nina holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, and has a wealth of experience in events and culture. Prior to coming to NAIT, Nina provided leadership in the planning and delivery of the International Children’s Festival, a large scale and high profile event. Here, she developed her passion for working with volunteers and a love for special events. Nina has also worked in facility management at the Arden Theatre and in human resources with the IAAF World Championships in Athletics. As the Recruitment Events Coordinator, Nina is responsible for the logistics and execution of Open House and Program Previews, both giving prospective students an in-depth look at the courses and programs that NAIT offers. In her spare time, if she’s not in hockey arenas or swimming pools watching her kids, Nina loves to travel with her family.
Alternative Program Pathways Coordinator
Moly provides a wealth of knowledge and expertise through many years of experience in the recruitment of students, volunteers, and employees. Her extensive background also includes working in collaboration with diverse ethnic communities, non-profit organizations, and various levels of government. She is an internationally trained teacher, whose passion for working with people led her to graduate with honors in social work, in addition to her education and training in career development. As the Alternative Program Pathways Coordinator, Moly works collaboratively with diverse communities, high schools, English language institutions, government agencies, and immigrant serving organizations in Edmonton. Moly offers outreach services by coordinating and delivering relevant and responsive NAIT program presentations and Ask NAIT services. In her spare time, Moly enjoys traveling, shopping, and eating a lot of anything with coconut.
Aboriginal Relations Coordinator
Born in Northern Alberta, David is a proud member of Treaty No. 8 who has spent half of his life living in Edmonton. After starting his post-secondary journey with NAIT, David completed his Business Management Diploma and is continuing his part-time studies to complete his Bachelor of Commerce in Management. With several years of experience in Aboriginal Engagement and a passion for providing guidance and mentoring to youth, David is excited to be working with prospective Aboriginal students. David’s background in Human Resources and Recruiting gives him a valuable perspective in the value of post-secondary education to employers. David is an avid reader and one of his biggest passions in life is collecting and playing board games.
Edmonton Metro Youth Coordinator
Tasha is a born and raised an Edmontonian and loves what Edmonton has to offer. Tasha graduated from NAIT with a Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management degree and a diploma in Food and Nutrition Management. She loved the post-secondary atmosphere so much she wanted to come back! Tasha has been in Student Recruitment for the past 6 years where she has had the opportunity to support prospective students in the life cycle of coming to NAIT. Tasha has also had the opportunity to work in Continuing Education with the Trades Portfolio and has great knowledge on what it is like to be a student at NAIT. Tasha is responsible for High School visits, along with working closely with Youth groups in and around the city to ensure all student have an opportunity to come to NAIT. Tasha spends most of her time at events throughout Edmonton and Alberta. In her spare time Tasha is an avid mountain goer, where you can find her snowboarding and enjoying the shops in Banff.
