NAIT's Student Recruitment and Events team consists of a talented group of professionals who work closely with academic programs to support students in finding the best fit program for themselves. They are passionate about supporting and encouraging prospective students as they prepare for rewarding educational experiences at NAIT.
Manager, Domestic Recruitment and Events
Chris has been with NAIT for over 4 years, coming to the recruitment team after previously working in NAIT’s Department of Continuing Education. Originally from Drayton Valley, Chris moved to Edmonton to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Alberta where his passion for leadership began. His role includes supporting the student recruitment and events team in realizing their vision of attracting and engaging life-long learners in an effort to support NAIT’s growth. Bringing his previous experiences in course administration, Chris is passionate about finding opportunities for every student and ensuring prospective students are provided the information they need in order to choose the right path. Chris is a former varsity volleyball player and in his spare time you can normally find him playing, watching, listening to, or reading about, sports.
Campus Events Coordinator
Racheal has 23 years of experience at NAIT, complemented by credentials in business management, project leadership, project management and group facilitation. Her work in various roles has helped her to support student success throughout the student lifecycle. From working directly in program areas to the executive office, Racheal has an in-depth knowledge of the programs, resources, processes and supports available to students. This experience has become the foundation of knowledge that supports her success as the events coordinator for recruitment events. In her role, Racheal helps prospective students to form educated decisions about their career goals through events such as Open House and Information Week. Racheal also supports community initiatives and coordinates events such as Lego League, Robotics, and the Edmonton Regional Science Fair.
Rural Community Partnerships Coordinator
A true Northern Adventurer, Meredith has been working in the post-secondary industry since 2014 starting her career in Northern Alberta. Originally from London, Ontario, Meredith completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and Thanatology from the University of Western Ontario. Her passion and support for the north, the people and the communities within it is what drives Meredith’s passion for education. Meredith is the Northern Alberta Partnerships Coordinator in the Student Recruitment and Events department. Her roles include working with high schools, communities, athletics, non-traditional students and Aboriginal student perspectives. Meredith has come to love the province and has made it home. Many of her hobbies and interests match perfectly with the rich and diverse landscape of Alberta which always leads into a new adventure for her. An interesting and surprising fact about Meredith is she used to be a competitive Discus thrower. She is excited to visit your high school or community!
Campus Visits Coordinator
Nicole recently joined NAIT as the Campus Visits Coordinator after three years of working in career advising and employer relations. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and her experience collaborating with various stakeholders in past roles has prepared her for her current position. She is passionate about empowering young adults to make informed decisions when it comes to their future and is looking forward to continuing her work in post-secondary. In her role, Nicole oversees the Campus Ambassador Program and campus visits. She also supports programs as they strive to meet enrolment targets, helps with on-campus events, and attends recruitment events within the Edmonton area. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys reading, writing, and exploring new restaurants. Her favorite place to travel is Maui and she can never say no to a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks!
Agency Partnerships Coordinator
Moly provides a wealth of knowledge and expertise through many years of experience in the recruitment of students, volunteers, and employees. Her extensive background also includes working with diverse ethnic communities, non-profit organizations, various levels of governments, and students. She is an internationally trained teacher, whose passion for working with people led her to graduate with honours in social work, in addition to her education and training in career development. During her five years at NAIT, Moly has been involved in various committees, coordinating events such as NAIT’s Update for Agencies, information sessions, and representing NAIT at recruitment fairs and events in high schools and community agencies. Her current portfolio emphasizes on diverse community student recruitment including collaboration with English language institutions, government agencies, and newcomer organizations in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Moly offers outreach services by coordinating and delivering relevant and responsive NAIT program presentations and Ask NAIT services. In her spare time, Moly enjoys traveling, going for walks and gardening.
Tasha is a born and raised an Edmontonian and loves what Edmonton has to offer. Tasha graduated from NAIT and loved the post-secondary atmosphere so much she wanted to come back! Tasha has been in Student Recruitment for the past 5 years where she has had the opportunity to support prospective students in the life cycle of coming to NAIT. Tasha has also had the opportunity to work in Continuing Education with the Trades Portfolio and has great knowledge on what it is like to be a student at NAIT. Tasha is responsible for Junior High School visits, along with working closely with Youth groups in and around the city to ensure all student have an opportunity to come to NAIT. Tasha spends most of her time at events throughout Edmonton and southern Alberta. In her spare time Tasha is an avid mountain goer, where you can find her snowboarding and enjoying the shops in Banff.
