NAIT's Peer Wellness Team ensures safe, informed and holistic care to our students through initiatives set by Student Engagement and delivered by Outreach and Wellness Leaders (OWLs). Some of the initiatives in which we participate include Safe Spaces, Pride Week, Women in Technology and Trades, the Student Leadership Award of Distinction, Chaplaincy Services, Sexual Violence Prevention outreach, and New Student Orientation.
Drawing on personal experience of being a NAIT student, our OWLs connect students with NAIT resources and campus information to promote a balanced post-secondary life. By hosting events and activities, and working with partners throughout campus, OWLs show our commitment to promoting the mental, physical and academic wellbeing of the student body.
