NAIT has a variety of academic and personal supports to help students get the most out of their NAIT experience.

First Year Support

The NAIT first year experience program (NAITfye) was created to make your transition to NAIT from high school or work easy and stress-free.

Services for Students with Disabilities

The Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) office (HP Centre, Room W111PB) works with each student to develop an individual plan that meets his or her learning and participation needs. Professional advisors provide the information and resources required to make students’ NAIT experience positive and successful.

Prospective students with disabilities who have applied to NAIT should contact SSD staff at least 6 months prior to their program start date to ensure that appropriate supports and funding can be established. Don’t wait for formal acceptance as this may leave inadequate time to set up services and funding.

Aboriginal Student Centre

The Aboriginal Student Centre (Main Campus, Room E121) provides both personal and social support services for all Aboriginal students studying at NAIT.

International Student Centre

The International Student Centre (Main Campus, Room E124) provides NAIT’s international students with a place to socialize and study. International Student Advisors are available to help with academic, social and cultural integration.
