This series of courses, developed and instructed by members of NAIT's Machining Program, is designed for individuals who wish to develop their machining skills and apply them to build an operational firearm.
In this program, you will learn the basic concepts of gunsmithing, including accurization, barreling, barrel fitting and customization of a firearm. Gunsmithing classes appeal to hobbyists, machinists, hunters and firearm enthusiasts.
Prior to the start of the course, you will be contacted with specific information that includes required materials and transportation and security arrangements.
This series is based on Remington 700 bolt action rifles. You will be required to provide your own barrel blank and action.
