Course Overview

As an IT security professional, you must be able to prevent losses and make contingency plans for recovering from any losses that may occur. With the skills you gain in this course, you will be able to create and administer policies to support and enhance security objectives.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to describe crucial aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery from both operational and policy perspectives. As a graduate of this course you will be able to protect yourself and those around you by ensuring that you have the plans and the policies in place to minimize the impact to system failures, network failures, natural disasters, or the failure of any key component needed for business operations. You will also be able to describe management techniques for creating and classifying policies, procedures, and guidelines to implement effective security policies.

Prior to enrollment in this course it is recommended that you have completed CCTM180, Security for Networks, or have equivalent work experience.
