Course Overview

Microsoft Visio is a popular diagramming and graphics application used to simplify and communicate information through the use of diagrams. With the skills gained in this course you will be able to use Microsoft Visio to create basic flowcharts, cross-functional flowcharts, and workflow diagrams for processes within your organization. You will also be able to create room and home layout diagrams to scale, as well as organizational charts.

Graduates of this course will have the skills to document multiple types of business processes and use Visio’s interface, built-in shapes, objects, and stencils. You will be able to describe types of Visio diagrams, and use, connect, and customize Visio shapes. You will also be able to create and customize flowcharts, import and export data, customize background pages and shape properties, and create Visio reports from shape data that will enable you to track information. You will be able to use layers, allowing you to print or view your diagrams in different ways. You will also be able to create your own stencils to hold your personal shapes. A picture is truly worth a thousand words!
