As well as founding MoonDot Media, Joan Marie Galat (Biological Sciences–Environmental Sciences '84) is an award-winning author of more than 30 books with translations in eight languages and titles with Simon & Schuster, Penguin Random House, National Geographic Kids, Scholastic, and others. Joan is renowned for her expertise as a science and literacy communicator and accepts invitations for speaking engagements. Based in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, Joan has presented across Canada and internationally.
