About this event

Networking for Introverts

A NAIT Alumni Lifelong Learning Presentation

If you're an introvert, the idea of being in a large group of people making small talk might make you break out into a cold sweat. The reality is, though, that networking is an integral part of your job search and career development journey. Some studies show that up to 85% of jobs are found through networking, so it's safe to say who you know matters! Whether you're looking for a new job or simply want to expand your professional contacts, networking is an essential tool for success.

During this session, Chantelle Svensen-Lewis will share strategies for networking as an introvert. She will share how you can attend networking mixers with confidence (even if you’d rather be at home in your sweatpants) and how you can leverage other networking tools, such as informational interviews and LinkedIn, to grow your network.

We promise we won't make you participate in icebreakers or introduce yourself via the dreaded elevator pitch during this session. We also promise you'll walk away feeling more confident (and, dare we say, excited) about your next networking opportunity.
