Class information

What can I expect?

For all camps, your course package will include:

  •     a chef's uniform (chef jacket, pants, neck scarf, chef's hat, apron and side towels)
  •     recipe guide
  •     re-usable water bottle
  •     daily parking

During the week, you will be able to eat the fruits of your labours. Your meals and beverages are provided. There will also be opportunities to bring  food home with you almost everyday. You will be well fed!

Multiple camps are happening throughout our kitchens each week. Meals will have contributions from not just your group but from the other camps as well, allowing you to taste what's going on in the camps around you.

At the conclusion of the week, your skills will be tested during a practical exam and your chef instructor will have the opportunity to see your skills in action.

On Friday night, there is a showcase graduation buffet reception for all the camps that you can invite your friends and families to. It's a great evening where you can show off your skills and socialize with your new friends. The reception is held in Ernest's Dining Room and the NAIT kitchens so your guests will be able to see where you spent your time as they wander through filling their plates with culinary delights.
