In partnership with NAIT, Cape Breton University's MBA in Community Economic Development offers you a leading-edge curriculum that includes all business subjects found in traditional MBA programs. The CBU MBA is accessible to business and non-business degree holders, as well as non-degree applicants with extensive managerial experience.

The program delivers advanced business knowledge in community-based and global contexts and focuses on developing skills in the following areas:

In-person and online info sessions running this year

Meet with the Cape Breton University MBA Director to learn more about how you can earn your MBA degree on weekends at NAIT. Each in-person info session at NAIT will take place in the Feltham Centre on NAIT's Main Campus near Kingsway in Edmonton, AB. Keep an eye on the room number for your session!

If you can't make the in-person sessions on campus, there is a recurring online info session at 12:00 p.m. every Thursday on Zoom. Reserve your spot using the registration links below for the time slot you wish to attend.

Program accessibility: Do you need a degree to get this MBA?

In short, you don't need a degree to earn this MBA. The Cape Breton University MBA in Community Economic Development is accessible to any students holding any degrees (business or non-business alike). The program is also open to interested students who don't hold any degree but have extensive managerial experience.

Hybrid program delivery: Are courses in-person and/or online?

The new CBU MBA delivery format in Edmonton combines the engagement of in-person classes with the convenience of online classes. The 16-course curriculum is delivered in part at NAIT on weekends (8 courses) and in part online on weekends (8 courses).

Designed for working professionals, all classes are scheduled Friday 5:30pm to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 9:30am to 12:30pm. Total weekend commitment is approximated 16 weekends per year for 2 years.
