The CBU MBA in Community Economic Development appeals to people who want to make a difference in their organizations & communities, especially those working in community organizations, the public sector, social enterprises, and entrepreneurial businesses.

The curriculum includes the fundamental business and subjects found in traditional MBA programs, with a special focus on applying business concepts through the lens of community economic development.

In this program, you will master the most in-demand skills every business leader needs to succeed, including:

Hybrid program delivery: In-person and online

The new CBU MBA delivery format in Edmonton combines the engagement of in-person classes with the convenience of online classes. The 16-course curriculum is delivered in part at NAIT on weekends (8 courses) and in part online on weekends (8 courses).

Designed for working professionals, all classes are scheduled Friday 5:30pm to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 9:30am to 12:30pm. Total weekend commitment is approximated 16 weekends per year for 2 years.

Program accessibility

The CBU MBA is accessible to business and non-business degree holders, as well as non-degree applicants with extensive managerial experience.
