Delivery Options

The flexible schedule options for this course including time of day and full/part-time.

  • On-Campus Day - Your course activity is done in-person Monday - Friday, before 5 PM.
  • On-Campus Evening/Weekend - Your course activity is done in-person on weekdays from 5 PM or later, or Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Online Day - Your course activity is done online Monday - Friday, before 5 PM.
  • Online Evening/Weekend - Your course activity is done online on weekdays from 5 PM or later, or Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Online Flexible Delivery - Your course activity is not scheduled and therefore you can determine when to do the coursework.
  • Both On-Campus and Virtual - Some of your coursework will be in-person, on campus and some will be done online.

Students taking online sections will be required to download the AutoCAD software on their own computers. Computers must meet the minimum hardware requirement listed on the AutoDesk.com website along with access to high-speed internet, a speaker and a microphone.

Students can download an Educational copy of the software here: https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/featured Note: Students are required to create an account if they do not have one already and will need to select the 2020 version of the software.

Students are responsible for installing their own software and confirming that it is working 24 hours before the start of their course.

Sam Bondesen

Born in the small town of Nelson, British Columbia, Sam Bondesen graduated high school in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Lethbridge, specializing in Geography. Sam began his survey drafting career in Regina, Saskatchewan with the Focus Corporation before transferring to the Edmonton office in 2000. This work kickstarted a passion for computer-aided design, which would later lead to a position in which he would teach and inspire others.    

Sam is currently the day-time instructor for the Computer Training Centre AutoCAD certificate program at NAIT. With over 10 years of teaching AutoCAD, a keen eye for detail, and a zest for creating, he has become a vital part of the NAIT experience. When not teaching, Sam can be found baking various creations at home, running through his community, or biking along the highways.
