Create an original character for any storytelling medium - graphic novels, comic books, video games, or concept art. Experiment with dynamic posing, composition, mood, expression, and anatomy. Capture preliminary designs with pencil and paper or graphic tablet, the industry standard in illustration and rendering. Refine your character in Photoshop or Illustrator using custom brushes and digital inking methods. Explore the concepts of form, volume, line weight, and light and shadow. Learn about the work of today’s leaders in this exciting industry. This course includes a large amount of traditional pencil and paper sketching. Please bring pencils and erasers.
Recommended: CCTD110 Adobe Photoshop Level I and CCTD115 Adobe Illustrator Level I, equivalent courses or practical experience.
