Apply digital and analog instrumentation, recording techniques for a 12-lead ECG, artifact recognition, remedies, technically accurate tracing, and an introduction to arrhythmias through home study. Skills obtained in this course will allow you to explain the procedure to the patient; attach the electrodes to the patient’s chest, arms, and legs; and operate the ECG machine, including printing and preparing the results. Determine if a heart is healthy by evaluating its electrical activity and identifying problems in function.
