External audit reports provide assurance to financial statement users to assist in decision making. This course is an introduction to the approach used by external auditors when conducting a financial statement audit. Students will learn what the role of the auditor is, which standards apply to external audits, and how to perform key audit planning, execution, and reporting procedures.
