Financial statement auditors are required to understand financial accounting and auditing standards and the nature of the business being audited. In this course, students will use their foundational knowledge of accounting and auditing standards to explore more complex topics and perform parts of a financial statement audit for a fictitious Canadian corporation. Students will use audit software to organize and perform audit procedures in their mock audit files, and will perform key audit planning, execution, and reporting procedures.
