This course introduces students to the theory and application of accounting, finance and financial management in organizations. The course provides students with the concepts and tools needed to analyze financial information, make managerial decisions, and evaluate the effectiveness of their decisions on the financial statements and the organization’s stakeholders. Topics in the course include financial statement analysis, the time value of money, working capital management, and break even analysis. Students will learn how to prepare, interpret, and analyse financial statements.
