Professional accountants need to understand the broader implications of accounting information and the motivations of a wide range of decision makers. In this course, students will use their advanced knowledge to explore current issues and problems in the field of accounting. The conceptual basis of the creation, use, and interpretation of accounting information will be examined, informed by the modern context of the accountant’s role in the fair and efficient operation of the economy.
