The theory of the analytical principles used for the quantitative analysis of laboratory specimens in clinical laboratories will be emphasized. Various analytical techniques will be studied: spectrophotometry, reflectance photometry, emission photometry, electrochemistry, chromatography, electrophoresis, osmometry, and immunoassay techniques. Laboratory sessions include exposure to various laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
