Biomedical Engineering Technology graduates are expected to understand the legal and professional expectations of the Canadian workplace. The requirements of Federal and Provincial Legislation, Regulations, Codes, and standards are interpreted. Obligations outlined in Canadian privacy and OH&S legislation are identified. Risk management practices common in Clinical Engineering will be examined. Common employment models and the professional practice expectations for typical Biomedical Engineering Technologist career paths will be investigated.
