This course focuses on how organizations use information systems (IS) and business intelligence to support a variety of tasks ranging from basic day-to-day activities to creating competitive advantage in the market place. The role of Information System (IS) hardware and software, business process re-engineering, electronic commerce, the impacts of IS upon organizations and society, the ethical use of information systems, types of information systems, and the importance of project management and systems analysis in developing of Management Information Systems (MIS) are covered.
