The Healthcare Delivery in Canada course (BTTM4420) is designed for those interested in analysing the Canadian Healthcare System. It provides an introductory view of the Canadian Healthcare Delivery System and explores the complexity of the system and its challenges. With knowledge of history, healthcare structure, legislation, and demographics that affect the Canadian Healthcare System, learners will have a better understanding of the culture of the Canadian Healthcare System today. Learners will be introduced to the stressors and challenges facing current healthcare in Canada. Comparisons will be made with healthcare systems in other countries. There will also be an opportunity to analyse and debate the future of the Canadian Healthcare System. At the end of the course, learners will be able to formulate views and strategies to re-shape the future of our healthcare system.
