Fundamentals of Removable Partial Denture Design

Requisites: This course is available to students in the Denturist Technology program. Prerequisites: DENT1110, 1112, 1121, 1274A, IPCD1171. Co-requisites: DENT1202, 1210, 1212, 1274B. A completion grade of C- in all prerequisite courses is required to enroll.

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of removable partial denture design. The Kennedy classification system will be used to classify partially edentulous arches and the impact of classification on design will be explored. Students will learn the components of removable partial dentures and how to combine components into elementary classification designs.
