Introduction to Dental Implant Sciences

Students will learn an interdisciplinary approach to dental implant therapy as a treatment option for edentulous patients. Patient selection, the biology of osseointegration, and methods of prosthesis support will be studied. Technical skills for the fabrication of radiographic and surgical stents, impression procedures, retention systems, and denture set-up and processing will be developed using a patient simulation case.
