Dental implants are a viable treatment option for patients who have lost some or all of their natural teeth. Students in Introduction to Dental Implants will learn about patient selection, the biology of osseointegration, and methods of prosthesis support. Technical skills for the fabrication of radiographic and surgical stents, impression procedures, retention systems, and denture set-up and processing will be developed.
