The aim of this course will be to enhance the quality of 3D renders. Your 3D work will become more presentable and polished and attract the attention of prospective employers. Topics include; lighting indoor and outdoor environments, HDRIs (image based lighting), caustics, global illumination, accurate shadows and volumetric lights. Students will manipulate basic materials to create corroded metals, refractive glass, stone and other material surfaces; they will also examine and explore alternative shaders, utilities and functions for greater control of materials and effects.
