A modern website is more than code and design, it must provide a high-level experience, be an authority on its chosen area of expertise and use tools to drive traffic to the site. In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of the communications and business aspects of the World Wide Web. Topics will include search engine optimization & marketing, social network marketing & community building, online revenue streams, effective writing for the web, analysis of web traffic, an introduction to client relations and media law, and how to freelance as a web designer.
