This course covers the process of creating an animated series from original concept to final render. The student will experience what it is like to work in a studio environment. Students are not expected to produce an entire series as there isn’t enough time. Instead, the course emphasizes the development of strong concepts that are marketable and feasible to complete as an independent production within a short timeline. Students will establish strong concepts for use in an animated short, learn how to quickly develop a script, apply proper pitching methods, and submit grant proposals to various funding agencies.
