Visual Communication design requires the continual development of critical thinking, attention to detail and technical proficiencies to resolve design problems in professional and commercial environments. Building on skills learned in the DMIT2031 course, students will continue to apply various principles of design with an emphasis on visual problem-solving and employing practical criteria in the development of commercially viable solutions. The reconciliation of form, content, and composition as it pertains to messaging will be explored through the iterative design process. This course will involve the use of digital tools, natural media and design thinking to provide context to visual messaging.
