Circuits III: Power Electronics

This lab-lecture course focuses on power electronics and their applications. Course topics include power system topologies for various energy sources, PWM motor-drives, and design of switching power converters. The course also covers ac power quality and thyristor applications for power systems. Manufacturer's datasheets are used throughout the course for circuit design, analysis, and testing. Circuit simulation of lab work and design projects emphasize selected course topics.
