A blend of theory and experiential activities presents advanced concepts of embedded systems using a microcontroller. Expanding on knowledge and skills gained in previous and concurrent courses, the learner will: Evaluate manufacturer documentation for various electronic/mechanical peripheral devices connected to a microcontroller; interface electronic/mechanical peripheral devices with a microcontroller forming part of an embedded system; and write intermediate to advanced programs for microcontroller interaction with peripheral devices of an embedded system.
