Disaster health planning involves many stakeholders including acute and long-term care facilities, emergency medical services, public health, community care, and mental health services. Students will learn about what is done to mitigate risks and prepare for potential major emergencies and disasters, how these plans are developed and implemented, and the unique challenges of disaster health response and recovery, particularly in a healthcare setting.
