Normal Hematology and Coagulation


  • Requisites: This course is available to students in the Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology program. Co-requisites: CLXT1101, RADI1130, RADI1160, CLXT1121.

Students learn the production and function of the normal blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes and thrombocytes). The laboratory sessions will emphasize clinical methods, techniques and provide practice with both analyzers and microscopic evaluation of specimens. Major topics will include benign blood conditions and routine tests for coagulation.
