To ensure organizations are compliant with Federal and provincial Occupational Health and Safety requirements, it is imperative to gain familiarity and understanding of the respective OHS legislation. This course introduces students to the wide array of OHS legislation that governs industry on a federal and provincial level. Topics include the history and evolution of OHS legislation, the OHS requirements in Part II of the Canada Labour Code, the Alberta OHS Act, Regulations and Code, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, WCB, among others.
