Today, anyone can make a video. What sets the average and great production apart is the understanding and skill of the technical and planning process. This course will cover the basics of the acquisition of video and audio for online and other platforms. Lab projects will develop skills in video camera operation for image creation, composition, and visual storytelling. Essential audio skills will focus on microphone use, sound capture and audio manipulation. By the end of this course, students will be capable of idea generation, preproduction development, and editing a basic audio/video production.
