Collaboration, effective interpersonal communication skills and understanding scope of practice are essential in the healthcare setting. Students learn the diverse needs of patients through patient centered care and analyze ethical issues in relation to complex healthcare decisions. Students will also learn how to use medical terminology in oral and written communication as well as apply respiratory therapy practice in accordance with legislation, regulation, professional practice and ethical guidelines.
