Patient Assessment provides a basis from which all other decisions will be made and is therefore one of the most important skills that is learned as a Respiratory Therapy student. Students learn techniques of inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation as well as recognizing the signs and symptoms of disease, measuring vital signs and the art of documentation.
