In order to compete with the bandwidth of wired media, a wireless system must ensure spectral efficiency and quality of information. This course introduces the Wireless Systems Engineering Technologist to the elements of the communication systems model, basic concepts and theorems related to communication theory. Students will use appropriate test equipment to verify behaviour of RF circuits, analyze the performance of communication signals and verify analog and digital modulation and demodulation circuits.
